About
There are various reasons why a person is starting life over after age 40. Many people associate this age group with mid-life crisis. While starting over after 40 may be associated with mid-life crisis, it goes beyond that. Some people feel the need to start life anew because of divorce, a breakup or a career change. Some parents, whether single or married, suffer from empty-nest syndrome, while others may be married or single and feeling unhappy in general.
Maybe you have never been married and wonder how you will ever find the right person at middle age. Dating after 40 isn't always easy! Even the fear of gravity causing your body to move in directions you never thought possible is a reason people feel the need to make changes.
Starting over is never easy, but after you reach a certain age it seems to be even more difficult. After age 40, you might find dating again more difficult or changing careers seems impossible. Your financial status can decrease dramatically, especially after the effects of divorce. Being able to relate to experiences and feelings others go through, makes the journey a bit easier. We will address those experiences and feelings with articles, help-tips and personal stories. Check the article blog for more categories and articles. Creator
Kate is from a small town girl from the eastern side of the United States and the creator of Starting Over After 40. She is a mom, a grandmother and was a wife for nearly 30 years. After Kate's divorce, she landed on a discussion forum. She needed to find other people who could relate to what she was going through. Unfortunately, the forum didn't offer a lot of help, but mostly people whining over and over. The whining and drama never ended and the true help and communication never seemed to begin.
Kate definitely believes in the power of venting and getting your feelings out, but there comes a time when a person needs some suggestions or solid advice, to not only be listened to but to be "heard". You need to relate to real-life stories and experiences. That's when she decided to create Starting Over After 40 in hope that her experiences could help other people.

Background
Kate doesn't have a fancy degree to display, but a lifetime of experience that helps her to relate to what other people are going through. From her experiences, she started writing relationship topics for various websites. Out in the real world, she is the go-to girl when someone has a problem. It wasn't something she set out to do, but something that came to her. Kate believes there is purpose to everything and maybe her purpose is to help others, even if in a small way.
